From Spicers Gap (1.5 hours drive west of Brisbane) we will follow a short track toward Governors Chair. After this small knoll we follow the steep north-east ridge to the top of Spicers Peak. There are a few scrambles with loose rock so only experienced people please. After admiring the views its back down the same way. It could be cold up there with westerly winds on Sunday. Great views over the Fassifern Valley and along the Main Range to the south. Its only a four kilometre return walk, but there is 500m of altitude to climb.
