Camping Weekend - Camp Cooroora
When: Saturday 30 September – Monday, 2 October 2017
Camp Cooroora is ideally set on the Queensland Sunshine Coast between Noosa and Cooroy. The camp site is set on part of the northern banks of Lake Macdonald and is mainly grassed with trees bordering all boundaries, including that of the lake. Fishing is permitted, but only with a fisheries permit, which can be purchased from the Camp Manager.
Swimming is NOT permitted in the lake, but you can make use of the canoes that the camp site has to offer for a small fee, larger boats can be used on the lake but cannot be petrol powered, as the lake is part of the fisheries and is eco protected.
Animals: small trained house dogs only, to be leashed at all times.
A large A-framed building “Kookaburra Lodge” is located near the northern
side which contains male and female toilets and showers.
Adjacent to this building is a well appointed kitchen and dining area.
The kitchen has a gas/electric stove, two refrigerators, a large BBQ
and two microwave ovens.
Fees: Campervans and campers in tents (self-contained):
Powered $15 per person/night,
unpowered $12/per person/night
The plan is to have a communal dinner on Saturday Night. If you would like to be part of this, please let us know.
