1. August Celebration - Swiss National Day

Saturday, 29 July 2017
Gates open 10am

Samford Showground - Showgrounds Drive - Highvale Qld
With plenty of room for overnight camping.

Dear members and Swiss friends
The Swiss Society of Queensland Club Committee cordially invites you to our National Day celebration.
Our venue is ideal for the day's activities and even an overnight stay. There is a large building with very wide verandas, so plenty of shade from the sun or cover in case of rain. Around the big hall are plenty of grassy areas for camping, running, playing ball games and much more.
We start with lunch at 12pm followed by various entertainments including the Swiss Yodler Group Baerg Roeseli. Around 5pm we will have the Lantern Procession (Lampion Umzug) and then everyone is welcome to stay around the big bonfire until late. We can enjoy a steaming hot soup, grill some more sausages on the fire and have a sing along.

Camping details
Overnight camping is allowed. You can bring your caravan, camper van or tents. Camping is available at the special price of $7.50 per person ($15 per couple), children between 12-18 will be $2.50 each, children under 12 are free. There are large amenities with toilets and showers.

Important: Tent or caravan sites must be booked in advance.
For information and camp ground bookings please contact Paul,
Showground caretaker on Phone: 07 3289 7357 Mobile: 0414 479 959
