Meeting: 9:00 am on 13th April 2008 - the shelter at the beginning of the Mt Beerwah track. Allow ~ 1 ½ hrs from Brisbane.
How to get there: Take the Bruce Highway to the Sunshine Coast. After ~54 km exit to the Glass House Mountain tourist route and head towards Landsborough for approx.10 km. Turn left into the township of Glasshouse Mountains. Take Coonowrin Rd. for about 3 Km. At the T-intersection of Old Gympie Rd. turn left, then after some 400 m, right onto Mt.Beerwah Rd. Follow this until you get to the carpark near the shelter at the base of the Mt.Beerwah track. |

The winding bitumen road continues a further 9km east through the Wyberba Valley to the park information centre.
For those who don’t want to take the risk of getting lost can take part in a “Convoy” that leaves Aratula (on the Cunningham Hwy) at 8 AM on Saturday morning. Please let Edi or Fredi know that you are coming) |

Bellthorpe is west of Beerwah. The easiest way to get there from Brisbane: head to Woodford and follow the D’Aguilar Highway, then turn off the highway at Stony Creek Road, about 6 km past Woodford and follow this road for ~ 3km. The forest is about 90 minutes’ drive northwest of Brisbane.
Meeting: At the Stoney creek picnic ground.

Exiting the highway, follow the brown "Mountain Parks" sign, which take you to Beechmont and finally to Binna Burra. From Nerang, it's about 35km to Binna Burra but because of the winding road, you need at least 50 minutes for this section (what makes the trip about 100 minutes from Brisbane CBD). |

MEETING POINT: Six Mile Creek / Woogaroo Creek Environment Park
WHEN: 8:30AM, Sunday July 22nd
HOW TO GET THERE:
Exit Ipswich Highway at [[Goodna]]
Take [[Queen Street]], which becomes Redbank Plains Road
to Redbank Plains.
At the lights just after the [[Redbank Plains Shopping Centre]] turn
right, direction Ipswich, staying on Redbank Plains Road.
2 Km after the lights you will see a big sign on your left:
Six Mile Creek / Woogaroo Creek. This is School Road. After a while
this road becomes a dirt road. Follow it right to the end. There is a big
parking lot at the end.
(From Goodna it will take you about 15 – 20 Minutes) |
